Baloubet du Rouet x Lancer II x Alme

Ballerina K is a daughter of the legendary Baloubet du Rouet crossed with the State Premium mare L’Estrella (v. Lancer II).  After her first foal, Verdina by Verdi, Ballerina K began her sport career with the Navet family, jumping up at L level before import to the United States.

Her dam line is a beautiful blend of pedigree and sport, with her dam producing the brilliant, young 1.40 jumper Penny Lane (Periguex) and the 1.30 jumper Cinderella K (Colman).  From the direct dam line comes the State Premium mare Lantina, who was internationally successful in 1.50 classes with Michael Aabo, the 1.60 show jumper Doc-Holliday (Drosselklang II), and the Hann/Oldbg approved Sosath stallion Lord Quidam among numerous offspring jumping internationally at 1.30 and above.

Sire: Baloubet Du Rouet

Three-time World Champion jumping horse, and repeat Olympian, Baloubet du Rouet, under Rodrigo Pessoa, has thrilled audiences and pushed the boundaries of show jumping worldwide. In 1999 he won the World Cup in Gothenburg for the second year running, an incredible achievement seen by only three horses since the start of the competition.

Baloubet du Rouet's dam, Mesange de Rouet, had eight wins from 13 outings at four years of age, and five wins from 12 outings at five. She is also mother of Unadore de Rouet. Her sire, Starter, is a noted sire of broodmares. Grand dam, Badine, also produced Globule, dam of Nemo de la Fosse and Urcos du Rouet.

This stallion stands for capacity, honesty and precision in jumping. Like his world-famous rider, he has set a new standard for modern show jumping.

Dam Sire: Lancer II

Bred by Hans Werner Höpcke, Lancer II was the champion of the 1988 Holsteiner Stallion Licensing in Neumunster. Although he never competed, Lancer II has left his mark on show jumping through his talented offspring. He is the sire of 30 licensed sons, including licensing champion Lamont and HLP winner Lancaster H, and about 58 State Premium mares. In sport, he has produced over 137 S level and higher with lifetime earnings of over 1.5 million euro. Perhaps even better known for his contributions to sport through the production of his daughters which include the WBFSH ranked showjumpers: Seoul (Thunder van de Zuuthhoeve), Liberty (v. Voltaire), Nadir de San Patrignano (Corrado I), and the top sport mare Lintea Tequila!
