Anneliese started riding before she could walk and has grown up around the show ring. She began riding ponies on the A Circuit when she was eight and won the Medium Pony Hunter Championship at Pony Finals with Another Rainbeau, a pony she brought along from green broke to national champion in one year. She also started the careers of such famous ponies as Teddee Ruxpin and Mink N Pearls. Anneliese had a very successful junior hunter, jumper, and equitation career, qualifying every year since the age of 13 for the Medal, Maclay, and USET finals. She was fourth in the West Coast USET Talent Search Finals when she was 14 and third when she was 15.
Anneliese attended the University of California San Diego and rode on the IHSA equestrian team, where she qualified every year for nationals and was reserve champion in the Caccione Cup her senior year. In 2000 as an amateur she won the West Coast USET Talent Search Finals on a catch ride jumper who had never done equitation.
After graduating from the University of Southern California law school, Anneliese began a very amateur career, competing in the amateur owner hunter division and USHJA hunter derbies with Mad Hatter, placing 5th at the Pin Oak Charity Hunter Derby in 2008 and winning the USHA Zone 10 Amateur Owner Hunter Championship in 2009. She has been showing her mare XOXO in the amateur owner hunters over the past three years to many championships and reserves.
In 2010 Anneliese began her breeding business, which has grown from one broodmare to 10, with all foals being quickly sold, most in utero. Thanks to her long relationships with many show trainers and riders, she has been able to provide a good home and second career to many top performance mares. Her first homebred to reach the show ring, At Last TW, was a winner in the A-circuit young hunter division in 2017 and 2018, 3rd in the $30,000 West Coast Green Hunter Incentive and 7th in the $10,000 Young Hunter Classic in 2018, and in 2019 was 3’6” Young Hunter Grand Circuit Champion in Thermal. He continues to be champion or reserve in the young hunters and also the adult amateurs at every show.
Anneliese concentrates on breeding quality young horses, starting them properly, and finding the right homes to ensure their future success. She also runs a highly successful tutoring business, mostly for juniors on the show circuit who want to maintain top grades while competing and go to prestigious colleges.
