Anneliese started riding before she could walk and has grown up around the show ring. She began riding on the A Circuit with her small pony Who’s That Girl in 1989 when she was eight and won ribbons in the Small Pony Hunter division at indoors that year. She finished sixth in the national USEF Medium Pony Hunter standings and won the Medium Pony Hunter Championship at Pony Finals in 1991 with Another Rainbeau, a pony she brought along from green broke to national champion in one year. She was also in the top ten nationally with Teddee Ruxpin in the small division and Mink N Pearls in the medium green division that year. Anneliese had many successes as a junior in the junior hunter, jumper, and equitation divisions on such wonderful horses as Stuffed Toy, Georgetown, Lismore, and Sateur, qualifying every year since the age of 13 for the Medal, Maclay, and USET finals. She was fourth in the West Coast USET Talent Search Finals when she was 14 and third when she was 15.
In 2000 Anneliese won the West Coast USET Talent Search Finals on catch ride Pre and was invited to train with the U.S. Equestrian Team in Gladstone New Jersey, but chose instead to attend law school and remain an amateur. In 2003 she traveled to the National Horse Show to compete in and win the inaugural USEF Adult Medal Finals.
Anneliese has been very successful in the amateur owner hunter division and the USHJA hunter derbies with Mad Hatter, placing 5th at the Pin Oak Charity Hunter Derby in 2008 and winning the USHA Zone 10 Amateur Owner Hunter Championship in 2009. Recently, she has been very successful with her mare XOXO in the Amateur Owner 3’3″ hunters, winning reserve champion at the Oaks and Menlo Charity horse shows in 2017. One of her first homebreds, At Last TW, was reserve champion at Menlo in the Young Hunter division and has since been sold. Anneliese concentrates on breeding, training, and showing her homebred young hunters and running her highly successful tutoring business. She holds BAs in history and political science from UC San Diego and a JD from the University of Southern California. She is a member of the California Bar Association.
